Matrix is the only one I can recommend as Discord replacement. Not just that it also has E2EE, but it is the only fully decentralized chat out there which officially supports not just community- and self-hosted servers, but also community-clients. Good luck enshittifying a chat where the company has that little control. For our private communication we should have higher standards than just being free software.
