Your brain runs on insulin too. It helps brain cells take in fuel and keep their connections healthy. When your cells stop listening to insulin, the problem doesn't stay in your blood sugar. Research has tied insulin resistance to memory loss and Alzheimer's. Some scientists have started calling Alzheimer's "type 3 diabetes." That one hit home for me. The same things that keep my blood sugar boring (real food, way fewer carbs, a walk after meals and decent sleep) are what keep insulin working the way it should. I'd rather protect my brain now than wonder about it later. Let's get healthy together. Science, not medical advice.
