<description>Do you crash hard after a big lunch? Heavy eyes, brain fog, ready for the couch before the afternoon even starts. A study published in Diabetes found a simple rule. A BMI over about 28.9 flagged insulin resistance in most of the people they tested with the gold standard clamp test. So that crash may not be a character flaw. After a carb-heavy meal, insulin spikes hard and then your energy falls off a cliff. I lived that when my A1C was 12.2%. Today it's in the normal range because I went after insulin resistance instead of another quick energy fix. If you crash after lunch, start learning about insulin resistance. My other videos here are a good place to start. Study: Stern SE et al., Diabetes, 2005. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15677489/ Let's get healthy together.
